9 August 2008

Article IV, Section 3, A

Terms of Office: All Directors, with the exception of the CLD and ACLD, shall be elected for three (3) year terms. Three (3) classes of seven (7) persons each that consist of both lay and clergy will be elected by the community at an annual meeting in November of each year. Pre/Post walk lay directors of one (1) year shall be involved in the board and each has one vote.

Article IV, Section 3, D

CLD/ACLD Terms of Office: The term of service for the CLD and ACLD may be extended one (1) year in those positions, if the CLD and/or ACLD choose to accept the additional year of service.  The CLD will serve one (1) year as the past CLD advisor to the board upon election of a new CLD.

Article IV, Section 9

Standing Committees: The Board of Directors shall name members to chair the following committees: Gatherings, 4th/Group Reunion, Chrysalis, Registration, Set Up/Take Down, Newsletter, Procurement/Service Coordinator, Candlelight/Sponsor's Hour, Team Selection/Nominating, Music/Entertainment, Web Master, Community/Pilgrim Outreach, Agape, and Community Training. Special committees may be named as deemed necessary by the leadership of the community.

Article VI, Section 7

Pilgrim Minimum: Due to the high cost of an Illinois Prairieland Walk to Emmaus weekend, a minimum of seven (7) Pilgrims must be registered two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled start date for a given weekend.  In the event that the minimum number is not attained, then the walk will be cancelled and the registrar will contact the pilgrims.  The weekend leadership shall be responsible for contacting the team.

Article VI, Section 8

Minimum Serving Age: Anyone who has attended an approved three day weekend (ARTICLE III, Section 2) and is eighteen (18) years of age by the start of the weekend may serve on an Illinois Prairieland Walk to Emmaus team in any position for which he or she is qualified.

Article VI, Section 9

Minimum Pilgrim Age: Currently, Illinois Prairieland Walk to Emmaus does not have a Journey community.  Therefore, IPWE will allow Pilgrims who have reached the age of eighteen (18) by the start of the weekend for which he or she wishes to attend, to participate as a Pilgrim in a walk.
